My husband and I had separated.  I see why now. I didn’t then.  The children were the ones who suffered the most.  I have a teenager who was absolutely crushed by it.  My husband left for a harlot, left his job, everything for her.  I couldn’t understand it then.  

Then a friend gave me FW to read.  I let my hair grow, let my nails grow, lost 20 pounds and bought dresses.  I’d always been heavy with short, slicked back brown hair.  I went from a fourteen to a perfect nine.   I bleached my hair like it was when I was young and got a new feminine hairstyle. When my husband came home to visit he didn’t even recognize me.  The children and I applied Fascinating Womanhood. The funny part is that everything I said was the truth.  I hadn’t realized what I had. He really is a marvelous man.  I just never told him that before.  

The harlot?  He gave her up in a week.  He has never needed her since. We are very happy and so are the children.  FW has saved so many lives.  I also think my husband’s life is much improved, and I have really benefited.  I quit work so we could have more time together.  I don’t know any knowledge that can change a persons life so much, can cause so much happiness for so many.  I want to thank the author.  I owe her so much.

The Strange Power

I had become a self-reliant business woman, extremely successful running two nursery schools.  While attending a one week executive seminar with my husband  I was exposed to FW. Dr. Bruce’s wife Kathy was teaching out of Ephesians one morning and said, “Girls, I am reading a most exciting book called Fascinating Womanhood and Dr. Bruce says he can tell which chapter I am reading.  She made it sound so exciting that I bought FW and FG on the way home.  

I enjoyed every page I read. The following week I was still reading FW as I flew to Tulsa to find our new home. My husband was already there. As I began to read FW my husband began to say things like they were right out of FW.  After 25 years of marriage, for the first time ever he said,  “You are the most feminine woman.”  “You are gaining a strange power over me. You get everything you want, but I like the way you do it.” I would reread what Mrs. Andelin said to see what I had done to arouse such wonderful reactions.  She says when you truly accept him you gain a strange power over him.
