Marriage, The Fascinating Way

The teachings of Fascinating Womanhood center around a study of The Ideal Woman, From Man's Point of View. I say "A man's point of view" because men and women view things differently. A man judges with a different set of values. This ideal woman is partly angelic and partly human. What I want to emphasize in this issue of the Internet is that a man never really loves a woman unless she is a good person, a person with angelic qualities worthy of respect and adoration. He may be attracted to her and even fascinated with her but his feelings will not include the deeper feelings of love. True love is a holy feeling, and a man simply cannot feel it unless aroused by a woman of character.
You may have seen the recent movie, Emma, based on the novel by Jane Austen. Emma, from the upper class of nineteenth century England, was a sweet, kind, smiling, good person, but insensitive and inclined to feel superior to those of a lower class. Mr. Knightly may have always loved her, but he noticed her weaknesses, was disturbed by them and tried to correct her. The main point is that his deeper feelings of love, those which prompted him to action, arose as he observed Emma's growth in character - her sorrow for her faults and her acts of compassion.
Sometimes I hear women say, "I have tried Fascinating Womanhood but it doesn't work for me." When I hear such remarks I know this woman has not understood what F.W. is all about. Becoming The Ideal Woman is not just trying a few techniques to see if they work for your advantage. It implies a continual growth of character in becoming a better person.
Assignment:: Take a good look at your angelic side. Are you worthy of your husband's respect, love and devotion?
From Grateful Readers:
"I believe a woman's place stands as: A daughter of God, wife, mother, homemaker and heart of the family. I love and cherish all of your books. Thank you, Helen, for teaching us to be feminine, queenly mannered, graceful, gentle, loving, wise, charming, spiritual and beautiful women. May God bless."

"My marriage was so-so and in the past 4 to 5 months turned rotten! We were talking of divorce a few weeks ago even though I am pregnant. I picked up a copy of Fascinating Womanhood and slowly started applying the principles. Wow! What a change in my marriage. We are so happy and my husband is a totally different man. I am now a wonderfully happy, excited newly-wed of 5 years. (Or I feel like one.)"
